Hey everyone, I'm having a tough time with my HP Victus laptop. The CPU temperature has been peaking at 101°C, which is the maximum it can show—I'm pretty sure it could get hotter! I noticed that my fans were making a lot of noise, so I took it to the official HP store, and they replaced the broken fan bearing. I expected it to solve the problem, but I'm still seeing those high temps right after the fix. I even turned off turbo mode by setting the maximum processor state to 99%, but that didn't help either. Could there have been an issue with the fan installation, or might the heatsink be the problem? I also had the thermal paste reapplied. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey! It sounds like you’ve done quite a bit already. Have you checked if there’s dust buildup inside the laptop? Sometimes just replacing a fan or thermal paste isn’t enough. Also, considering underclocking might help a bit. Just throwing it out there, what model exactly is your Victus? That could help in diagnosing further!

I doubt there’s dust buildup since everything was cleaned up recently. The model should be HP Victus 16-e0xxx by the way, if that helps!
