My Laptop Shows ‘No Bootable Device’ Error – What Should I Do?

Hey folks! I recently started seeing a "No bootable device" error when I turn on my laptop. I checked the BIOS, and it recognizes both my main SSD (where Windows is installed) and a secondary SSD. I've heard that disabling boot security could potentially resolve this issue, but I'm not sure if that's safe. Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! By the way, my laptop is still under warranty.

Try toggling the secure/UEFI boot settings in your BIOS. Since your laptop is under warranty, it’s relatively new and should have come with secure boot enabled and CSM disabled. If any of those settings were changed, it might prevent the system from booting properly.

There are a couple of things that might cause that "No bootable device" message. It could be hardware related, like a dead system disk, but that doesn't seem to be your case. More likely, it’s a software issue where the OS might be corrupted, or the BIOS settings could have been altered. Check your BIOS settings and make sure they reflect what was in place when you first installed your OS. If that doesn't help, you might need to prepare for a Windows reinstall from a USB drive.

Thanks for the info! Right now it's set to UEFI, so I’ll first try disabling the boot security. If that doesn't solve it, I'll look into changing it to other settings. It’s strange though, I was just playing CSGO from Steam when this started happening.
