Hey everyone! I've been having this weird issue with my laptop where it keeps flickering between different tabs, and it's been super annoying. It started with my web browser, and now it's happening on the Windows screen, too. The flickering only stops when I click into the search box on the taskbar. I initially thought it might be a keyboard issue, so I tried connecting an external keyboard, but the problem persists. I ran an antivirus scan, and no threats were found. Anyone know how to stop this flickering? It's not a screen issue but rather something with the tab selection moving on its own.

If it’s still acting weird, you might want to check for any background programs that could be interfering. Sometimes certain apps can cause unwanted behavior. Also, it might be worth updating your drivers or checking for Windows updates if you haven’t done that in a while. Good luck!
Have you thought about turning off some of the visual effects? You can check under the screen settings and try switching to a basic Windows style or just disable transparencies. Sometimes reducing those effects can help with glitches like this. Give it a shot!
I think I understand what you're describing. So your laptop is changing tabs by itself? Just to clarify, when you're on the Windows home screen, the cursor or selection keeps jumping around from the 'currency info' at the bottom left to the Windows icon and the search box. That's definitely odd! Have you tried checking your settings or possibly adjusting the tablet mode if it's enabled? Sometimes it can cause weird behaviors like that. Let me know if that helps!

Thanks for clarifying! Yes, it is indeed switching tabs on its own, which is just bizarre.
