I've been using an MSI Modern 14 laptop, but its Realtek 8822CE wireless adapter has been giving me major headaches. It was working well until after a recent update when it started dropping connections. I tried to update the driver, thinking it would help, but that just made things worse. Now I can't even find the wifi adapter in network settings or device manager. I've tried restoring to a previous point which temporarily helps, but it keeps losing wifi passwords and I have to re-enter them every time I disconnect. More recently, I uninstalled the adapter, and now it won't reinstall after restarting. It shows up briefly in network adapters but then disappears into the 'other devices' section as 'network controller'. I've attempted every troubleshooting command and manual install I could find, but nothing's worked. I really need some advice on how to fix this!

First things first, have you tried downloading drivers directly from your laptop manufacturer's website? That’s usually the best way to go for your specific model since they tailor their drivers for their hardware. Realtek drivers can be hit or miss sometimes. Just make sure you grab the one that aligns with your Windows version!
I was actually using an old driver that I found in a post when it was working fine, but it was from a few months back. Everyone in that thread was facing similar issues with the wifi going in and out.
