My MacBook Pro M1 Won’t Charge Past 20% – What Could Be Wrong?

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my MacBook Pro M1 (14-inch, A2442) that I hope someone can help me with. The laptop won't charge beyond 10-20%, and it takes forever to reach even that level. Here are some details to consider:

- The battery was replaced by a professional, but the problem didn't go away.
- I'm using a genuine Apple charger, and the MagSafe light shows up orange when it's connected.
- I noticed that the MagSafe light blinks for a moment when I press the power button while plugged in.
- It refuses to charge when the MacBook is on.
- Charging seems impossible, regardless of whether the MacBook is on or off, and it won't charge through the USB-C ports either.
- There's been no drops or water damage; this issue appeared suddenly.

Could this indicate a charging circuit or logic board failure? Might it be a firmware issue, or am I facing board-level repairs? Should I just sell it for parts at this point? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

It sounds like your MacBook might need some board repair work. Given the symptoms you described, there could be an issue with the charging circuit on the logic board. It's not uncommon for these types of issues to arise, especially after performing a battery replacement. You'll likely need a professional to diagnose the specific problem.

How complicated or expensive do you think the repair would be?
