My New GPU Isn’t Posting, What Can I Do?

Hey everyone, I just put together my first PC and I'm running into some trouble getting it to post when using my new GPU. Here's my setup:

- CPU: R5 7600x3d
- GPU: XFX SPEEDSTER QICK319 RX 7800 XT
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI
- PSU: Asus Rog Strix 850w
- RAM: T-Force 32GB D5 6000MHz CL30

When I try to start the PC with the 7800 XT installed, the CPU cooler, case fans, and GPU fans all spin up, but I just get a black screen and my keyboard doesn't light up. The odd thing is, I can boot into the BIOS using integrated graphics or my old RX 580 without any issues, so I'm starting to wonder if my GPU is actually dead.

I've tried a few things to troubleshoot, like removing the CMOS battery, trying different HDMI and DisplayPort slots, updating the BIOS, turning off the resizeable bar setting, and forcing integrated graphics in BIOS before putting the GPU in.

I'm looking for more suggestions on what to try. Should I switch outlets, or even downgrade my BIOS version? My motherboard originally booted with a BIOS from February 2025, so should I go back to an even older one? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First off, make sure to use integrated graphics to boot up your system. Then completely uninstall any previous GPU drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). After that, plug the 7800 XT back in and see if it boots up. If it does, you can go ahead and install the new drivers for it.

I’m not really sure how to use DDU. Is there a tutorial or something that can show me the steps?
