I've just bought an 11-inch iPad Air with the M3 chip and I've only had it for about a week, but it's been crashing and restarting on me out of nowhere. I keep everything updated and mainly use it for Procreate to do digital painting. The screen sometimes flashes pink before it crashes. It seems to happen more often after being in my backpack, and I'm wondering if it could be overheating or potentially linked to my new ZUGU case, which was also causing issues with my Apple Pencil. Should I return it to Best Buy or swap my case for an Apple folio case to see if that helps? Any advice would really help me out!

You might want to try removing the case to see if that helps with the crashing. Sometimes cases can interfere with the device's performance, especially if it's causing pressure points.
It definitely shouldn't be crashing like that. I’d suggest considering a return or exchange if you're still within the window. Erasing and restoring the iPad could also help resolve software issues, but don't risk missing the return period by troubleshooting too much.
That's exactly what I'm leaning towards. This was my first iPad, and I wanted it for illustrating a children's book, but I'm too frustrated right now. I plan to visit Best Buy tomorrow for an exchange and probably return the case too.
That's what I'm doing for now! I'm going to see if it solves the issue, but I still worry something might be wrong with the iPad itself since I need it protected when I travel.
