I recently got an iPhone 14 and have been experiencing overheating issues since day one. I'm using the original charger that came with it, and my battery health is at 100%. I'm not overcharging or using the phone while it's charging, and the battery level is below 80%. This doesn't seem normal for a brand new device! Is there anything I can do to fix this, or should I reach out to Apple for support?

It sounds like you might be dealing with a software issue. I recommend backing up your data and then wiping your iPhone. Go to the Settings, find the About menu, and select Transfer and Reset. Choose 'Erase All Content and Settings.' When you set it up again, pick 'do not transfer data' to start fresh. This could help resolve any software problems carried over from another device. After the setup, just sync your important stuff back from iCloud!
Are you sure the phone is overheating, or is it just feeling hot to the touch? Sometimes if your phone is processing a lot of data, it can heat up a bit. If it's actually saying it's overheating, then yeah, that's a concern!
I’m surprised you haven’t contacted Apple yet. If the overheating started on the first day, they may be able to help. Just remember, check if you still have a warranty; you might need it since you're probably out of the return period. Don't wait too long to reach out!
I get it. At first, I thought my phone was just downloading apps and updating, but after a while, you realize something’s wrong. It’s better to say something sooner rather than later.
Just a heads up! Restoring through a computer is the better option. Erasing everything just deletes your data, but it doesn't clear software issues. A full restore will reinstall the software completely.
