I recently completed my first PC build with a 7950x3d CPU, 5080 FE GPU, a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, 64GB RAM, an x670e motherboard, a Phantom Spirit 120 EVO cooler, a 1000W Be Quiet power supply, and a Kings 95 Pro case. When I power it on, the CPU fan starts spinning, but the case fans don't. There's no display, and the CPU indicator flashes red before turning green. After a couple of minutes, I started to see smoke coming from the top of the case. I could really use some help with this situation!

Did you use thermal paste on the CPU? Just making sure you remembered that step—it’s super important for cooling efficiency!
It sounds like you might need to take everything apart and check for the source of the smell. There’s a good chance something wasn't plugged in properly, which can lead to overheating or short circuits. Keep an eye out for any visual damage, especially around the motherboard and power supply.
I don’t smell anything burning, though.
Check your motherboard and power supply thoroughly for any visible damage. Sometimes a blown capacitor can cause these kinds of issues, especially if it's a new build.
Make sure to take a close look at your power supply. Where exactly did the smoke seem to come from? Was it towards the back of the PC or somewhere else? This can help narrow down the issue.
The smoke was coming from the top of the PC.
Do you think you forgot to remove the plastic film from the CPU cooler before you installed it? That’s a common mishap that can lead to overheating.
I made sure to take off the film. You mean the plastic on the bottom of the heat sink, right?
Yes, I definitely applied thermal paste.
