I've been having an issue with my Kingston 1TB NVMe NV2 drive disconnecting a few minutes after I boot up my PC. When I remove it from the motherboard and reinsert it, I can access the drive and even run some programs, but soon after, it becomes inaccessible. If I check for hardware changes in the device manager, it disappears from the list. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It sounds like you might be facing a power management issue. Try going to Device Manager, locate your NVMe under Disk Drives, then check the Properties. Look for a Power Management tab and make sure to uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Also, check the same settings for the NVMe controller if you can find it. If that doesn't solve the problem, reseat the drive and ensure that it's secured with a screw, as a loose connection could definitely cause disconnections. How long have you been using the drive? Did this issue start recently or has it been ongoing?
If you're not seeing any power management options, it might be worth checking the drivers too. The date showing from 2001 is pretty old, so it might be time to update them. You can usually find the latest drivers on the manufacturer’s website. Also, if you're able to access it in BIOS, that's a good sign that it's at least recognized on that level. Just make sure everything is seated properly; sometimes quick disconnects can happen if there's a slight misalignment.
