My PC Builds Powers Up but No Display – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm a total newbie at building PCs and need some advice. I've powered everything up, including my GPU, case fans, and CPU cooler, but I'm not getting any display. A few times, I saw the BIOS for about 5 seconds, but then it goes blank again. My CPU and RAM are detected, so it seems like they're working. I've reseated my GPU, tried a different monitor, and swapped out the HDMI cable. Just to clarify, the HDMI isn't connected to the motherboard. Any thoughts on what might be going wrong?

It sounds like you may have a few things to check. Since you got a brief BIOS display, that’s a good start! I’d recommend ensuring that all of your components are seated properly. You mentioned that the CPU cooler came loose; that could potentially cause some boot issues. After you fix that, try booting again and see if there’s any improvement.

Have you tried plugging the monitor into the motherboard instead of the GPU? If your CPU has integrated graphics, that will help determine if the GPU is the problem. Also, double-check your power supply wattage to ensure it’s enough for your setup. Sometimes, the PSU might not provide adequate power for everything to function properly.
