Hey everyone! So my PC crashed out of nowhere while I was watching a YouTube video. The GPU fan started running at full speed and didn't stop until I turned it off. When I powered it back up, I only got a green screen on my OLED TV. I can hear sounds when I log in, but there's nothing visible on the screen. When I boot up, I can see the ASUS logo, but as soon as Windows starts, it's just green. I even reinstalled Windows 11, and it worked fine until I finished all the updates—then the green screen came back! Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Here are my specs: 13900k, z790 Asus Gaming wifi 2, 4080 FE (Non-super), Asus 850w PSU, 990 Evo 1tb, and 980 Pro 4tb.

It sounds like you might have a software issue. Try booting into Windows Safe Mode and checking your graphics drivers. Also, if you can, try connecting your display to your motherboard instead of the GPU. If that works, you could have faulty GPU drivers or, sadly, a GPU that’s failing.
Fingers crossed it works out! If the GPU is really fried, at least it’s new enough to RMA it. They might send you a 4080 Super as a replacement, which wouldn’t be too bad!
So, I actually ended up using my Windows 11 USB to restore my setup to before the updates. Once I got back into the OS, I booted into Safe Mode and used DDU to clean my drivers. I’m working on installing the latest driver manually now, and so far, no GPU glitches.
