My PC is acting weird—lower FPS in games, should I replace my CPU?

Hey everyone! I'm facing an issue with my PC and could really use your input. I'm using an i7-14700f, which has been great, but recently I've noticed a drop in FPS while gaming. In Counter-Strike 2, my FPS has decreased from around 600 to just 240, and it sometimes even dips to 110. As for Roblox, I used to maintain 900-1100 FPS, but now it struggles to stay above 600 and can drop below 100 randomly. My CPU temps are usually around 45°C, and I have an RTX 4070 Super, a WiFi Bulk B760 motherboard, liquid cooling, and six fans. This setup has worked flawlessly for nearly a year, so I'm not sure what's going on. Do you think I need a new CPU?

You should definitely check the health of your hard drive using tools like CrystalDiskInfo. It’s important to rule that out first. Sometimes performance dips can be related to drive issues rather than CPU problems.

I ran CrystalDiskInfo, and it shows good health at 98%.

Have you tried doing a clean install of Windows 11? Sometimes fresh installs can resolve strange performance issues. If that doesn’t work, you might need to consider that CPUs can fail, especially Intel ones. They can start to underperform after a few years. If you do go for a new CPU, I’d recommend checking out 12th Gen Intel or even switching to AMD.

I’ve already done clean installs from USB with disk part and cleared everything, so I doubt it's a Windows issue.
