Hey everyone! I've got this big Acer gaming PC and after about half an hour of gaming, it turns my room into a sauna. The AC doesn't really help since the thermostat is in another room. In winter, I could just crack a window, but it's summer now. I'm considering getting a standalone AC unit that I can vent out of my door since my window doesn't fit any AC designs. I'd love to hear any solutions or experiences you guys have had with this! Thanks a lot!

Honestly, the best way is to decentralize the heat. If you can't vent the heat out with fans or an intake system, maybe consider moving your PC to a different room altogether. Just something to think about!
If you can, try undervolting your CPU and GPU. If that's not an option, then an AC might be your best bet. Also, there’s no need to run the game above your monitor's refresh rate, which can save some heat.
You might want to try using a box fan to help circulate air in and out of the room. Also, think about improving the efficiency of your PC components. Regarding the AC venting out the door, you might run into issues unless your window can open a bit wider. There are portable units designed for windows that might fit your needs!
Consider relocating your PC to a different room and run USB/HDMI cables to your setup. That way, it won’t heat up your space!
1. I might give the box fan a shot, but I usually keep my door shut.
2. I need my PC to run at peak performance for more than just gaming.
3. I had an idea for a custom exhaust attachment for the portable AC to fit under my door, but I’m not sure if that’s practical since my window opens outward.
