I've been trying to reset my computer to factory settings because of memory issues. I followed the steps by going to Settings, then Update & Security, and selecting Recovery. I clicked on 'Reset this PC' to get started, but now it has been stuck in a restart loop for more than 12 hours. Is this typical, or have I messed something up?

I wouldn't rely on a factory reset—it's often more trouble than it's worth. Instead, consider wiping the drive completely and doing a fresh installation of Windows using a USB drive. You can create one with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, which is straightforward to use.
I'm a bit of a newbie here. Can you guide me on how to create that USB drive?
