My PC Keeps Booting with a Loud Fan – What Should I Do?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my computer – it powers on, but the fan goes crazy loud and just keeps running without actually starting up properly. This has only started happening recently, but I've noticed my PC might have had some problems for a few months now. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

First, try checking if you see anything on the screen during startup, like BIOS or POST messages. If the screen is black, that's a potential issue.

It does not turn on at all.

Is there a lot of dust inside your case? Dust can block airflow and cause overheating, which might be contributing to your issue.

Yeah, there's a little bit of dust, but nothing too crazy.

Could you share your PC specs? It might help. Also, remove all RAM sticks, and then try putting one back in at a time – that could pinpoint a bad module. Reseating your GPU and CPU might also help it to POST properly.

Sure, here are my specs: 12th gen Intel i7-12700KF, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Nvidia RTX 3080, and a B660 DS3H AX DDR4 motherboard.
