I've recently been experiencing some serious issues with my PC. It's equipped with a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, a GTX 1660 Super GPU, and I've got 32GB of Kingston Fury RAM. The most recent part I bought was the MSI B550m Mortar Max Wifi motherboard, but I've had the system for years and the CPU was purchased used.
Here's the problem: whenever I game or have multiple applications running, my PC suddenly shuts down and enters this annoying diagnosing loop. It goes through the cycle of shutting down, trying to repair itself, failing, and then repeats endlessly. The only workaround I've found is power draining it – turning off the PSU and holding the power button for 30 seconds.
Also, I've been unable to run my RAM in dual-channel mode; it just won't boot when I do that. Instead, I have to install the RAM in slots A1 and A2 instead of the standard A2 and B2 configuration. I've run tests like memtest86 on my RAM sticks without any issues, but I can't seem to overclock them past 3200MHz either—any attempts to do so just result in not booting.
I've stress-tested my CPU and GPU, and they handle the load fine. The temperatures seem normal, too. I tried running sfc /scannow and even reset Windows twice, but nothing helped. My research indicates it might be the motherboard, CPU, or PSU, but I want to be sure before spending more money. Anyone else experienced this issue? What troubleshooting steps did you take?

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already! One thing you might want to try is resetting the BIOS to its optimized defaults if you haven't yet. Sometimes, getting back to square one can help. Also, if you perform a clean install of your operating system, that might solve any hidden issues with your current setup.
Have you considered testing your power supply? If it's not delivering consistent power, especially when your components are under load, that could definitely cause crashes. You might want to get a PSU tester to see if it's failing under certain conditions.
I'll definitely look into testing the PSU. That seems like a plausible cause given all the issues!
Sounds like you could be dealing with a motherboard that's just not up to the task anymore. There were some problematic models in older batches that would overheat and shut down unexpectedly. It might be related to age or just a faulty component. Have you checked for any BIOS updates? That sometimes helps with compatibility and stability issues.
I hadn't thought about updates! I'll look into the BIOS updates for my motherboard and see if that helps.

I actually tried resetting the BIOS and doing a complete wipe for a clean install, but it still crashes when I try to run heavier tasks.
