I've been having a frustrating issue with my computer. After upgrading my old Intel CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700x3D and installing an A520 motherboard, my PC started freezing and rebooting randomly. Here's the current setup:
- **Motherboard**: B550 Aorus Elite V2
- **CPU**: Ryzen 7 5700x3D
- **GPU**: 4070 Ti Super
- **RAM**: 4x8GB Team Elite 2400
- **PSU**: Corsair RM1000e Gold 2025
I initially thought it was a power supply issue due to the new parts, so I replaced my old PSU, but the problems continued. I even sent the motherboard back for testing, and they found no issues.
I've tried several troubleshooting steps, including lowering graphics settings, disabling automatic restart, running memory tests multiple times (which mostly passed), monitoring temperatures (no overheating), and even updating the BIOS.
The freezing usually cuts all sound, locks the keyboard and mouse, while the fans continue to run. I cannot pinpoint the cause because sometimes it crashes multiple times in a day, and then it can also go weeks without issues. It often crashes while gaming but has also happened when running memory tests. I've never seen a BSOD or any useful error logs before it crashes.
Any suggestions or ideas on what could be going wrong?

It sounds like you’ve tried a lot already, but I had issues similar to yours. When you mentioned the games it freezes on, it might be worth checking if those games have known compatibility issues with AMD CPUs. This setup is newer, so sometimes specific titles can be problematic.
Try disabling Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) in the BIOS. It could be causing instability. I know you mentioned that you had issues both on and off, but it’s worth checking just to ensure it’s not adding extra pressure on your CPU.
Have you checked your storage? If your SSD is nearly full, that could cause problems. I recommend running a full SMART test to see if there's anything off with the drive. Sometimes, even if it seems fine, it could still be the culprit.
