I built my first PC back in April, and I'm running into some trouble with my graphics card. Occasionally, my PC won't recognize the 9070xt and defaults to the onboard graphics. This doesn't happen randomly, but only when I restart the PC. We tried switching the GPU to a different PCIe slot and that worked initially, so we thought it might be a motherboard issue. We replaced the motherboard, but now it's still sometimes not detecting the GPU after a restart. We can fix the issue by going into Device Manager and uninstalling the device; then, after a restart, it recognizes the graphics card again. I've already updated the drivers for the CPU and GPU, as well as the motherboard. I'm wondering if this could be a problem with my power supply or possibly the graphics card itself. Here's my setup:
- Mobo: Asus ROG Strix 850
- GPU: 9070xt
- CPU: 9800X3D
- PSU: MSI 850 watt

Have you checked the display cable connection? Make sure it's plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. Sometimes it's a simple fix! If everything's connected properly, there might be deeper issues at play.
Yeah, I noticed the pronoun shift too in your post. But don’t worry about that; we’re all here to help! Just make sure to follow the advice about checking the dump files.
Since you're getting blue screens, it could be useful to get some dump files from those crashes. Check if they’re in C:WindowsMinidump. If you find any, zip them up and share them, so we can take a better look. Multiple dump files could help analyze the issue further.
