I'm having an issue with my PC where it boots up and shows the Gigabyte motherboard logo, but then it goes to a black screen. I can access the BIOS by restarting, and everything else seems to be working fine since my keyboard and mouse light up. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

It sounds like your PC isn't getting past the POST check, which usually means there's an issue with a component or the boot process. One common fix is to make sure all the cables are properly connected. If your hardware is new or recently changed, double-check those connections. You might also want to look into your RAM— reseating it or trying it in different slots can often help.
I think you're correct about it being a POST issue. If you only need this PC to hold out for a few more weeks before getting a new one, try booting with the minimum hardware required— just the motherboard, CPU, and one stick of RAM. See if that changes anything. Sometimes, reducing the components can help you get past the initial hang.
