I was playing Minecraft and started with over 600 FPS, but after about ten minutes, everything went downhill. Once I quit the game, my PC began lagging severely to the point where I couldn't even move the cursor, feeling like the FPS dropped to around 5. I tried booting into Safe Mode, but no luck; the lag persisted even in the BIOS, where it felt like the FPS was still only 5-10 and the cursor was unresponsive. What could be causing this issue?

It sounds like a processor issue to me. You didn't mention your PC specs, so it's a bit tough to diagnose completely, but that's a common culprit. Have you checked if your CPU is overheating? That can cause a big slowdown.
There are countless factors that could slow down your system to that extent. It could be a software conflict, hardware failure, or even malware. Have you run a full system check for viruses or checked your hard drive for errors?
Can you name ten things that might slow a computer down this much, especially affecting BIOS? I'm curious!

I have an i5 12400f and an RTX 3050 with 6GB. Could that be related?
