I recently came home to find that my PC wouldn't respond to clicks, although I could still move the mouse. When I tried using the taskbar, it showed a blue loading circle and said Windows wasn't responding, which I've never seen before. I had to press the power button to turn it off, but now it won't boot at all. The fans spin, and the lights on my keyboard and mouse light up, but the screen remains black. I've never encountered this issue in my seven years of using PCs. Additionally, the VGA light on the motherboard is on. Any suggestions on what it might be?

There could be several issues causing this, especially if the PC is a bit older. It might be dead RAM, a malfunctioning GPU, or even a faulty BIOS. If this is a new build, it could be a problem with how the GPU is seated. Best to check that first!
Have you tried entering the BIOS? Disconnecting all external peripherals can help narrow down the issue. Additionally, you could re-seat your internal components like the RAM, SSD, and check the monitor cable connection. Sometimes it’s just a loose cable.

I did swap out the old RAM for a new set, but it worked briefly and then went back to the black screen. Unfortunately, I still can’t get into the BIOS; it stays black when the monitor turns on.
