My PC Won’t Boot After Trying to Set a BIOS Password

I tried setting a password in the BIOS to enable Secure Boot, but now when I turn on my PC, it's stuck on the motherboard logo and I can't access the BIOS setup or boot menu. I've even removed the battery from the motherboard for a few minutes, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! It was working fine before I made this change.

Hey there! Have you checked if your motherboard has any jumpers? Sometimes clearing the jumper settings can help with boot issues. It could reset any changes that were made and allow you access to the BIOS again. Just double-check your motherboard manual for guidance.

Yes, it has a 3-pin jumper. What should I do with it?

If you can find the jumper, you might want to try resetting it according to the manual. It usually involves moving the jumper from one set of pins to another for a few seconds.

When you power on your PC, are you seeing anything on the screen? Sometimes the system may prompt for a password, but it might not always show that. Just be sure to look closely at the screen after powering on.

I see the motherboard logo, but there's no loading circle like before. No password prompt either, just stuck there.

Another thing to consider is draining any residual power from the system. Try unplugging the PC from the wall, removing the battery again, and then holding the power button down for about 10-15 seconds. This might help clear the capacitors and reset the hardware.

Thanks! I'm going to give that a shot.
