My PC Won’t Boot After Upgrading My Processor and RAM—Need Help!

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my setup with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, an Asus ROG Strix B850-A motherboard, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM. However, my PC won't boot at all. When I press the power button, I see the motherboard lights come on, but the fans don't spin, and it doesn't even reach the BIOS. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps, like letting it sit for 30 minutes, trying to update the BIOS via USB, and checking all my connections. I've cleared the CMOS and even tested it with just one stick of RAM installed. I also didn't see any error codes or lights indicating issues. I could really use some suggestions on what to do next!

Make sure all power connections are secure. Double-check those connections to your motherboard and CPU. Sometimes a loose cable can cause issues like this.

I checked all the connections again—everything is tight and in the right spots. I’m wondering if the motherboard might be faulty.

Have you verified that you installed the back plate for the motherboard? I had a similar issue once where I forgot it and everything just wouldn’t boot up. Definitely worth a look!

It came with a stock backplate, and I checked everything in the box. I’m currently back on my old setup that works perfectly, but I’m so frustrated!
