My PC Won’t Boot into the OS – Help Needed!

I've got a 4-year-old PC with the following specs: Sapphire Pulse RX9070, Ryzen 5 5600x, 700w EVGA PSU, 64GB Corsair DDR4, ASUS B450M II motherboard, a Crucial P3 Plus NVME (2TB), and a mix of HDDs and SSDs. Lately, whenever I try to boot into the operating system, it hangs up and never makes it to the Windows loading screen; it just freezes up. I can access the BIOS without any issues, but even when I try to use the BIOS boot menu to select the Windows bootloader, it still freezes. One time I managed to get into Windows, but when I rebooted to check if the issue was fixed, it just started freezing again. I'm pretty sure the SSD isn't the problem since it's detected just fine. The only prior issues I experienced were during a move when the RAM got unseated and caused some problems booting. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

From what you described, it sounds like there could be multiple issues. It’s acted up in the past, which might point to your PSU since you’ve had trouble with it staying on and off. But, don’t rule out the RAM either; if you have 64GB, are those two sticks or four? Could be a seating issue again.

It's actually 4 sticks of RAM. I guess I should reseat them just to be sure!

Have you tried using a LiveCD? Booting from one can help you diagnose if the problem is with your OS or storage. If it boots fine, then it’s likely an OS issue.
