Hey everyone, I just installed a new SN7100 4TB SSD into my PC, but now my computer won't boot. It works fine when I remove the SSD. I'm not sure what the issue could be. Here's what I'm working with: Motherboard: Z590 Aorus Master. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like your motherboard might have some restrictions. Some motherboards disable certain SATA ports when you install an M.2 SSD because of lane sharing. Check if your Windows drive is on one of those affected SATA ports. If it is, moving it to a different port might solve the problem!

Yeah, I've seen Gigabyte boards have this issue. If your new SSD is plugged into an M.2 slot, it could potentially disable a SATA port that your system relies on to boot.

Just to confirm, is your PC at least showing signs of life, like fans spinning? If it’s not posting to BIOS at all, that might suggest another issue with the SSD or its connection.

The fans do spin up, but it doesn't get to the BIOS screen. I'm stuck here!
