I've got a Radeon RX 7900 GRE, and something odd happened. I left Minecraft running, and when I got home, my PC was off. I tried to power it back on, but it wouldn't boot up. Initially, I thought the issue was with the PSU since I got some advice on Reddit. I tested it with another PSU, only connecting the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SSD, and everything worked fine. Then I went back to the original PSU, and it also worked. But here's the kicker: as soon as I plug in the GPU, the fans spin for just a fraction of a second, and then nothing. If I connect the GPU to the PSU without plugging it into the PCIe lane, the system boots, but if I attach it to any PCIe lane, it fails to start. It's the same situation even if the GPU isn't powered by the PSU at all; just being in the PCIe slot stops the boot process. What do you all think is going on?

It’s definitely strange! Since you’ve tested the PSU and it works fine without the GPU, it feels like the GPU isn't drawing power correctly, or it's failing to initialize. Have you tried reseating the GPU or cleaning the contacts? Sometimes that can make a difference!
It sounds like your GPU might be the problem here. Since you can boot the system without it, that points to a possible GPU failure. I’d recommend checking if there’s any visible damage on the GPU or trying it in another system to confirm whether it works there or not. If the GPU is indeed failing, it might be time for a replacement!
I agree! If you have access to another PC, testing it there can help rule things out. Plus, if the GPU is truly dead, troubleshooting is half the battle.
I didn't think of that! Reseating the GPU is a good call. A clean connection can sometimes do wonders.
