Hey everyone,

I was trying to set up my new 5090 graphics card, expecting a straightforward installation, but it turned into a major headache. After over six hours of troubleshooting, my PC won't even turn on anymore. Here's what I've got in my build: an AMD RYZEN 7950X3D, 2X32GB CORSAIR DDR5 RAM, a 2080 SUPER GIGABYTE AORUS / MSI 5090 GAMING TRIO, and a COOLER MASTER 1300W SFX PSU with some NVMe SSDs for storage.

I've even recorded a video showing what's happening since I've heard some scary stories about these cards potentially catching fire—wanted to have proof if things went south. I'll drop the link in the comments. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just a thought—did you bump or unseat any RAM while swapping cards? Also, double-check all the motherboard connections. I know it’s tedious, but it can make all the difference.

I've taken everything apart to check, reseated the RAM, and replugged all connectors. Still no luck. I even tried cleaning off some dust, thinking maybe it was a short, but it didn’t change anything.

I noticed in your video, it looks like you’re trying to boot without a CPU cooler installed? If that's the case, the system might be shutting off instantly to prevent overheating. Just want to make sure everything is set up right before diving deeper into troubleshooting.

Hey! It sounds frustrating. Have you checked the connections thoroughly? Sometimes cables can look fine but still have issues. Try booting with onboard graphics and lower the PCIe lane speed from 5.0 to 4.0 or 3.0 to see if that helps.

I appreciate the tip! I tried that, but now it won't even turn on for more than a second. It’s like it powers up, fans spin, and then just dies.
