My PC Won’t Turn On After Repair – What Could Be Wrong?

I recently got my PC back from a tech repair shop, and now it's completely unresponsive! Initially, the only problem I had was some blackouts on the monitor that caused it to restart. But now, when I press the power button, nothing happens. The motherboard lights up, which seems like it's getting power. What could be causing this issue?

Is it a desktop? Double-check if the switch on the power supply is flipped off. Sometimes it's an easy fix!

I've checked that, and it's definitely turned on and plugged in.

If it’s not just the power supply switch, there could be a lot going on. The lights on the motherboard indicate some power, but do the fans spin? It might be turning on but not sending a signal to the monitor. If you’re totally sure it’s not powering up, try opening the case and making sure all components are seated and connected properly. Did the repair shop mention what was initially broken or how they fixed it? That could help narrow things down.

I opened it up and checked all the connections; everything seems fine. They didn't tell me what the issue was, and I had to recall it because their price for testing was just too high for me.

If your PC is still unresponsive, you might want to just take it back to the shop. I know it's a hassle, but if it's not working, they should be the ones to fix it!

It's not that easy for me to go back. I have to drop it off at a pickup point, and they won't be able to get it until Monday. That's why I'm trying to figure it out myself.
