Hey everyone, I just received my new gaming PC from iBuyPower yesterday, and after swapping out one of the RAM sticks that came with it for a new CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB DDR5 stick, I noticed it started smoking. This also fried my RGB lights and fans! My specs include an AMD Ryzen 5 8400F and an NVIDIA RTX 4060 with 8GB, plus 16GB of DDR5 RGB memory. I'm worried my PC might have been damaged, and I'm hesitant to turn it on again in case there's a fire hazard. Can anyone provide some advice or insight on what I should do? Thanks!

Pictures of the RAM and the inside of your case would definitely help people assist you better! And just to be clear, do you want a photo of the burnt RAM stick or something else?
I wouldn't turn it back on until you figure out what's happening. It sounds like it might be a short, possibly due to a manufacturing defect. Just to be safe, keep an eye on those components and don't risk it until you get a better understanding of the damage.
Yeah, definitely don't power it on yet. It's a good idea to check for any visible damage, like burn marks. You've got to be cautious with that sort of thing. Also, RAM compatibility with graphics cards isn't really an issue, so I wouldn't worry about that.
