Hey everyone! My daughter accidentally spilled milk on my Xbox controller, and now it's acting all glitchy. It still turns on, but the buttons don't work right. I've already taken it apart and left it near a fan to dry overnight. Is there anything else I should do to fix it?

Honestly, don’t sweat it too much. Just forgive your daughter; kids can be a handful! You learn these things as a parent, right? But maybe keep the controller out of reach in the future!
You might want to grab some isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush to clean every little corner. After that, let it dry completely and test it out. If the milk has dried, using a brush should help remove the sticky residue. It's super important to let the alcohol dry before putting it back together. If it still doesn't work, you might be looking at getting a new controller.
You could just swap it out for a new one. I've heard that places like Chuck E. Cheese can be surprisingly good for that! Just kidding. Seriously though, take out the batteries, clean it with some alcohol, and make sure everything is dry before reassembling it.
If it’s really bad, I’d say just buy a new controller. Sometimes, it just makes more sense than trying to fix something that might be permanently damaged.
Totally agree! A Q-tip can help with those sensitive areas. Just be careful with how you clean it—it can be a bit tricky with dried milk. And hey, if it still doesn’t work after all that, a new controller might be the way to go.
