He's really looking forward to playing Minecraft and Fortnite, so I want to make sure we get him something solid that will last for a few years without too many hiccups.
I've previously built PCs for friends and myself, but this time I had to rush a bit due to time constraints. I did a lot of research to find a good beginner build under approximately €1300, especially given the current RAM situation.
Here's a summary of the components I selected:

I took a peek at your build and think it's quite well-rounded for a beginner. Just a heads up, the Fractal Design Torrent Compact does have some cable management issues that might frustrate you during assembly. Instead, maybe consider the standard Torrent for better airflow, or check out the Fractal Epoch, which solves some cable routing frustrations. RAM doesn't strictly have to be on the motherboard's QVL list, so don’t sweat that too much. Regarding the CPU, if the price difference to upgrade to the 7600X isn't much, I'd say go for it for the future-proofing!
