I'm about to dive into building my first gaming PC, but I'm unsure about what parts to choose. My goal is to play at mid to high settings; I don't need ultra settings. I want to know how much money I should save to achieve that without breaking the bank.

You can build a great system with a 7700X and a 5070 Ti for about $1499. Check out this combo I found: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hjDBBq). It’s a solid option if you want to get into gaming without overspending.
For a solid 1080p gaming setup, I'd suggest capping your budget around $1200, but you can do it for less. If you're aiming for 1440p, $1500 is a good threshold. For 1080p, consider something like a Ryzen 5 7600X or Intel i5 9600K paired with a 9600XT or 5600 Ti—both should handle games on high settings nicely!
What's your budget looking like? Also, keep in mind the kind of games you want to play.
Thanks for the input! I might try posting on other forums for more specific build recommendations.
