Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build a new PC this Christmas and could really use your advice on picking a GPU. I'm planning to pair it with a Ryzen 5 9600X and aim for gaming at 1440p with at least 60fps. I'm open to using technologies like DLSS or FSR, and I want to make sure the GPU lasts me a minimum of three years.
I'm trying to keep my budget under €600, and here are the options I've been considering:
1. **RTX 5060 Ti 16GB** - This is the cheapest option available in my area at €469. I'm a bit concerned about its raw performance for future games.
2. **RX 9060 XT 16GB** - This one is slightly cheaper at €447. However, I'm uncertain about its long-term viability since the previous RX generation doesn't support FSR 4, while the RTX line does have the new DLSS transformer model.
3. **RTX 5070** - This is currently my top choice, priced at €550. It offers better performance, but I'm worried about the 12GB of VRAM and whether it will be sufficient for future titles.
The RX 9070 is off the table for now since it costs €660 and has similar future-proofing concerns as the RX 9060 XT, but I might reconsider during sales if it fits my budget.
What do you all think? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I think the RTX 5070 might be your best bet! It's got better performance than the others, and while there's some debate about the 12GB of VRAM, it should handle games well over the next few years. Plus, with DLSS support, you’ll have a better chance at maintaining those 60fps at 1440p for a while!
The RX 9060 XT could definitely surprise you. It supports FSR, which means it can still hold its ground with performance enhancements. But considering future-proofing, I feel like the RTX cards are more solid due to DLSS. It's a tough choice!
Totally! Even if it's slightly cheaper, the lack of DLSS might hurt it in the long run. That said, it could still be decent for a few years.
Yeah, I agree! The 5070 seems like the most future-proof option, especially with upcoming games. VRAM can be a concern, but as long as you're gaming at 1440p and not pushing crazy settings, you should be fine.
