Need Advice on Choosing a GPU for My PC Setup

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since I've been struggling to run a lot of games lately. I don't have much knowledge about PC components, but my friend suggested the Radeon RX 6600. Here's what I currently have:

- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
- CPU: Intel i7-9700F
- RAM: 16 GB
- Motherboard: ASRock H310CM-DVS
- Power supply: Chieftec Smart (I need to check the wattage more closely)

I'm concerned that the new GPU won't be compatible with my setup. Any recommendations on what I should get?

Before you decide on a GPU, do you know what your budget is? Also, confirming your power supply's wattage would help a lot.

My budget is around $300-400, but I’d prefer to spend less if possible. I think my power supply is either 450W or 600W, but I’ll double-check that.
