Hey everyone! I'm currently saving up for a laptop to delve into programming and a little hacking. I came across the LENOVO IdeaPad 1 15IJL7 N4500 with specs of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. I'm curious to know if this laptop would run Kali Linux well or if I should consider something else. What do you think?

The specs on that laptop are pretty subpar, but it should still manage to run Linux decently. However, there are much better options available for under $400. For example, check out refurbished ThinkPads or something similar—much better performance! Just steer clear of Chromebooks.
Could you suggest three solid models I can find for under $300?
