Hey everyone, I recently purchased a 1500VA UPS from Artis, but I'm running into an issue. The UPS socket is only rated for 6 amps, while the PSU cable I have is rated for 16 amps. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 9700x, RX 7800XT, 32GB of RAM, X870 Aorus Elite Ice, and a 360mm AIO cooler. Should I use a 6-16 amp converter for the socket, or is there a better solution? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! 😊

It sounds like you might need a different approach. Using a 6-16 amp converter can be risky if the wiring isn’t able to handle the load from your PSU. It's better to check if you can find a cable that’s compatible with both your PSU and the UPS or consider getting an adapter that’s rated properly for your needs.
Yeah, definitely look for a solution that matches the current ratings. Safety first!
If your UPS socket is rated for 6 amps, it might not handle the load of your PSU comfortably. It's usually best to not push the limits of such components, so unless you're sure about the capacity, I'd recommend getting a proper PSU cable to fit the UPS.
That makes sense! I just want to avoid any potential issues.
Absolutely! Better safe than sorry with this kind of gear.
Thanks, I’ll look into getting the right cable!
