Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for a major upgrade of my system next week with a budget of around 800€ but can stretch to 1,000€ if necessary. Currently, I have an i7 7700k CPU, Noctua NH-U12S cooler, Zotac 3070 GPU, G.SKILL Ripjaws V RAM (2x8GB 3000 CL16), MSI Z270 Krait Gaming motherboard, and a Seasonic Focus GZ-750 PSU.
I think my CPU and RAM are holding me back, so I'm planning to upgrade to a 7800X3D CPU for 459.90€, a Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB CL30 RAM for 124.90€, and a TUF Gaming B650-Plus Wifi motherboard for 214.90€, bringing my total to 779.70€. The same CPU is available on Amazon for just 390€, but I'm hesitant about buying hardware from there. The local prices are around 445€. I'm wondering if the ~60€ difference is worth it since the performance benchmarks seem similar (about 5% difference). I'll mainly use the setup for gaming and coding, and I want it to last at least five years. Any advice on whether I should stick with the TUF motherboard or switch to a cheaper B650 Gaming Plus WiFi? I also plan to build a second rig for my girlfriend with my old setup, so I'm trying to keep costs reasonable. Thanks for your input!

What games are you looking to play, and at what resolution? Also, what kind of coding will you be doing? If you're not pushing your CPU to 100% for long periods, you might not need the highest spec CPU you can find. But if it's mainly for gaming, a solid balance is key!
I'm planning to play a mix of AAA RPGs and indie games, mostly on high settings. For coding, it's mainly OOP, but I’m diving into game development. I usually have multiple tabs and some games running in the background, but my current i7 is handling it pretty well.
