Need Feedback on My 1440p/4K Gaming PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm upgrading my setup from my previous build, and I would love your thoughts on my new configuration. My main goal is to ensure I can play modern games at 1440p with ultra settings, aiming for over 60 FPS (ideally 120 FPS or more). While I'd like to dabble in 4K gaming for some titles, it's not a priority. I'm still learning through this process, so any feedback would be highly appreciated!

Here's my thought process:
- I was torn between the 5070 Ti and the 7900 XTX, but opted for the 5070 Ti due to its lower price and my plan to use DLSS.
- I chose the Ryzen 7 9800X3D over the 7800X3D because I play CPU-heavy games and wanted to invest a bit more in this component.
- The motherboard was picked for future upgradability, particularly to accommodate faster RAM later.
- Regarding RAM, I got 64GB since I've noticed a lot of modern games have high memory requirements, but I acknowledge that 32GB might be sufficient for now.

Here's my current part list: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XQLJGJ).

Honestly, you probably don’t need 64GB of RAM unless you’re doing some really heavy multitasking or specific applications. Most games don’t use more than 32GB right now. Regarding the power supply, the SuperNOVA GT isn't the latest model; you might find better options with newer tech for a similar price. Something like the Corsair RM1000x could be a solid alternative.

You might want to consider a B850 motherboard instead of the B650. The B650 only supports PCIe 4.0, and for future-proofing, you’d be better off with PCIe 5.0 boards, which are just a bit more expensive but definitely worth it. As for your RAM, 32GB should be plenty for now. Just watch out for the 6400 CL32 specs, as it can be iffy on AM5 CPUs. If you're going with a power supply, an 850W is more than enough; I'd recommend looking for something with a more modern connector setup too.

Also, it's nice that you’re planning for upgradability, but don't overspend if it's not necessary!

I'm with you on that—PCIe 5.0 is a smart move for the future! And 32GB is generally just fine for most gamers right now.

For your RAM choice, I'd definitely recommend sticking with 32GB. There's no game that really takes advantage of more than that at this point, unless you’re running many applications simultaneously. Also, if you’re tightening your budget, consider skipping the high-tier PSU. 850W should be good enough to power your build smoothly.

I think you've made some great choices, especially with the CPU! After the feedback, it sounds like you’ve made some solid adjustments already. The B850 motherboard and the RAM switch should really help your overall performance. Good luck with your build, and make sure to share your progress!
