Hey everyone! I was initially set on buying a prebuilt PC, but then I stumbled upon a sweet deal for a 5070ti at my local store and decided to tackle my first build instead. I've done some research online, but honestly, I haven't found much in-person advice, so I'm hoping to get some feedback here on the other components I've chosen. Here's what I'm planning to go with:
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor)
- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 (77 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler)
- MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
- Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
- Corsair 3500X ARGB ATX Mid Tower Case
- MSI MAG A850GL PCIe5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
If this post seems silly, just let me know, and I can take it down. I'm really just looking for reassurance as a beginner. I've finally started earning my own money while living independently, and I'm super excited to build my first real PC!

Honestly, it's a good build! The 9800X3D is an awesome chip. If you're looking to save some money, consider a good tower cooler like the Peerless Assassin; it won't hurt your performance, plus AIO coolers look great. Also, while Corsair RAM is good, you might find better deals with brands like Teamgroup T-Force for similar performance. That extra cash could definitely go towards a faster SSD like a Samsung Evo or Crucial T500!
You've got a great setup here! Just a heads-up, there might be cheaper RAM options that perform just as well. The power supply is decent too, but be mindful that fan noise could be an issue.
Thanks for the tips! What sites do you recommend for ordering these parts? I've been mainly checking out Newegg and maybe Jawa?
