Need Help Choosing a Case and Cooler for My First Build

Hey there! I've been diving deep into research and snagging deals, and my all-white PC build is almost complete. I scored a used 3070 from a friend's old Alienware setup, but now I'm a bit stuck on selecting a case and a cooler. I'm considering the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro to pair with an NZXT H6 Flow case, but I'm unsure about two things: 1) Will the cooler actually fit in the case? and 2) Are the fans that come with the case good enough for cooling? My parts came up to around $880 from Newegg, and adding the case and cooler would bump me to about $1100. I'd like to keep everything under $1300 since I'm also hoping to grab a 5070 or 5070ti at MSRP soon. I've seen mixed reviews about whether the ARCTIC III will fit in the H6 Flow, and PCPartPicker won't let me pair them. I love the look of the H6 Flow's dual-chamber design, so I'm hoping for some advice on a compatible cooler or any cheaper alternatives or deals you might know of. Thanks!

Just a heads up, there's a compatibility issue between the NZXT H6 Flow case and the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360. PCPartPicker flagged it. Also, there could be concerns regarding fitting the Corsair RM850x SHIFT power supply in there as well. If you're considering other coolers, the Thermalright Vision is about $100 and offers great features without breaking the bank.

It should be okay! Just be aware that fitting for AIO coolers can be a bit tricky sometimes, so it's worth a shot.

I'd recommend checking out a less expensive AIO like the Thermalright Aqua Elite 360 White V3—it's only about $52 on Amazon right now, and you wouldn't need to spend over $100 for cooling with a 7800X3D. Plus, the ARCTIC Freezer AIOs can be thicker than average, so they might not fit in every case. The Thermalright models are thinner, so a 360mm radiator should work well in the H6 Flow. Also, I'd suggest upgrading from the 3070 soon; it's likely going to limit your gaming performance. Don't forget to pick up a three-pack of Thermalright TL-C12CW-S fans for just $14 on Amazon for extra cooling! Also, grabbing DDR5 6000 CL30 RAM would be a solid choice and you could opt for a more affordable motherboard around the $200 mark, like the GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7 ICE.

— Good luck!

Thank you so much!

That case looks fantastic! I checked their site, and they have a image showing a cooler with three fans mounted on top—so a 360mm cooler should fit. But looking at the specs, the H6 Flow supports a maximum radiator thickness of 30mm, while the ARCTIC III Pro is 38mm thick. It might work, but since PCPartPicker doesn't list them as compatible, don't get your hopes too high. If you can easily return the cooler if it doesn't fit, then you might give it a shot. The H6 Flow comes with three fans, but for optimal cooling, you should use two fans on the bottom and one on the rear. Test out the included fans and see if they perform well for you. I recently saw the Thermalright Grand Vision 360 for a reasonable price with a customizable LCD screen, and it only has a 27mm radiator thickness, which might fit better.

— Hope this helps!

Thanks for the detailed response! It's good to know that returns aren't too much of a hassle with Amazon.
