Hey everyone! I'm about to make my very first PC build at 25 years old, and I'm super excited but also a bit nervous. I have two different build options that my friends helped me with:

My main concern is about the cooler – should I go with a liquid cooler or stick with air cooling? I'm leaning towards the more expensive option, but I would love any feedback or suggestions for modifications to either of these builds. Thanks in advance for your help!

Both builds could use some adjustments, especially if you don't want to break the bank. For instance, get a more budget-friendly SSD like the Samsung 990 EVO Plus instead of the 990 Pro. And remember, stick to 2 DIMMs of RAM for compatibility – 4 can cause issues!
You might want to consider if the build is solely for gaming. The Ryzen 9 7900X is actually overkill for that; I’d suggest opting for a 7600X or at most a 7800X3D to save some cash. Also, liquid cooling is usually unnecessary unless you're pushing super high overclocks; it can add points of failure too!
This build definitely feels pricey! If you want to optimize costs, aim for the 7800X3D instead of the 9800X3D, and get a solid, reliable cooler if you're leaning towards air cooling. Trust me; you don't need a flashy liquid cooler for gaming!
If gaming is your focus, your components could be better optimized. For example, I'd recommend the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor combined with the Thermalright Phantom Spirit cooler you'll save money and get great performance. Just make sure you don’t overkill on RAM, 32GB is enough for most gaming setups!

The Peerless Assassin is a great choice for cooling your CPU, but if you're looking for something newer and slightly better, consider the Thermalright Phantom Spirit.
