Hey everyone! I'm a total newbie trying to build my first PC, and I'm currently looking for a motherboard that's compatible with the i5-14600K. The motherboard I found has a disclaimer about being on an older BIOS version, and I'm unsure if I need to search for a different one. Do I really need a new motherboard, or just a BIOS update? Any budget-friendly recommendations that will work with my setup? Here's the build my friend helped me with: [PCPartPicker list]. Thanks!

You might just need to update the BIOS! Most motherboards will still work with the newer CPU if you do that. It's not too hard to manage once you have everything connected. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully.
That's great to hear! But be aware, if it doesn’t boot at all due to an outdated BIOS, you may have to swap in an older CPU first just to get the update going.
