Hey everyone! I'm new to Reddit and also to PC building. I'm planning to get a 9600x CPU because it's about £100 cheaper than the 9700x, but I'm open to thoughts on that. I'm also looking at the 9070xt GPU and T-Force Delta 32 GB RAM for my setup.
My biggest concern right now is picking the right motherboard. I'm finding all the information super confusing, especially with prices in the UK changing compared to a few months ago. Any recommendations for a good motherboard that's future-proof and reasonably priced would be greatly appreciated!

I'm building something similar soon too! I'm going with a 9700X and 9070XT. The motherboard I'm eyeing is the Gigabyte Eagle X870. If you can find an X870E for a similar price, that's a solid choice as well. Just make sure to update the BIOS on whichever motherboard you decide to buy!
If you're primarily gaming, the 9600x should work just fine. But if you multitask like streaming or watching YouTube while gaming, maybe consider the 9700x. For motherboards, a B850 would do the trick. Just a heads-up, I'd steer clear of ASRock for now. Look at MSI and Gigabyte instead. The Tomahawk or Aorus Elite are great options if you're willing to spend a bit more, but you can also settle for something like the Eagle or B850-P if you're watching your budget.
Why do you suggest avoiding ASRock? Also, what's the main difference between B850 and B650?
