Need Help Choosing a PSU for My New Build

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a power supply unit (PSU) for my upcoming setup featuring a 9800X3D and the new MSI RTX 5080, since my RTX 4080 just died. I'm specifically looking for an ATX 3.1 PSU and want to avoid the yellow MSI cable issue. Here are the options I'm currently considering, though I'm open to other suggestions:

- be quiet! Dark Power 14 1000W for €225
- Seasonic Vertex PX 1000W PCIe 5.0 for €210

I'm also thinking about stepping up to a 1200W PSU for some future-proofing, but I'm not entirely sure if I need that much headroom since I probably won't upgrade to something like an RTX 6090 anytime soon. Here are the 1200W options:

- be quiet! Dark Power 14 1200W for €270
- Seasonic Vertex PX 1200W PCIe 5.0 for €245

I'm leaning towards the be quiet brand mainly because of its Titanium efficiency rating, but I know Seasonic is top-notch in terms of quality and designs their own PSUs. What do you guys think? Any recommendations?

Check out the PSU tier list I found! It can help you choose a reliable option. Just keep in mind that the efficiency rating doesn't make that big of a difference, even though it’s nice to have a higher rating.

Thanks for sharing the list! I checked it out and it confirms that be quiet is actually a better choice.

I appreciate the tip! I've noted the be quiet advantage.

What country are you in? I've seen some complaints that Seasonic's newer products haven't been living up to expectations. For instance, the Focus GX series has had issues recently. Their manufacturing capabilities are also pretty limited, making upgrades tough.
