Hey everyone! I'm heading back to college after 15 years, and I'm struggling with my studies since all my textbooks are online now. Reading on my laptop feels a bit cumbersome, and I think getting a tablet or iPad might make things easier, especially one that can connect to a separate keyboard. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'd love some suggestions on which tablets would be the best for reading and studying. Thanks for your help!

Using two big monitors with a PC setup has really helped me. You can keep your textbook on one screen while doing other work on the other. Monitors are pretty affordable these days too! If you’re sticking with a laptop, consider getting a docking station to connect to larger screens for better productivity.
Thanks for the suggestion!
What exactly makes your laptop hard to use? Do you think a tablet would fix those issues? A tablet is definitely more user-friendly for highlighting, taking notes, and just being portable overall.
My laptop is old and heavy, plus the touchpad isn't working well, so I think a tablet would be a better fit for reading on the couch!
Sounds like a tablet could definitely make things easier for you!
If money's not an issue, I would recommend an iPad since all models support keyboards and most online college services have apps for iOS. However, if you're looking for something more versatile, a MacBook Air could also be a great option. It’s lightweight, has good battery life, and you won’t have to buy a separate keyboard. Plus, a Kindle could be perfect for reading on the couch. Just consider your budget to decide what's best for you!
Thanks for the great advice! I'll definitely think about your suggestions!
I totally get that! I ended up getting an extra monitor just for school. It makes multitasking so much easier!
