I'm currently trying to find the best backup solution for Microsoft 365 and have narrowed it down to three vendors: DropSuite, OpenText, and Barracuda. I've gathered all my spreadsheets, quotes, and datasheets, but I still can't make a choice. I was supposed to test Barracuda's service, but the trial hasn't started yet. Has anyone had any experience with these vendors? I also heard that OpenText is planning to offer Entra backup by Q3/Q4, and they are about $400 cheaper than the other two options. Any thoughts?

With so many options out there, it can be overwhelming! I’m really happy with Druva—great product, and they have this program that gives you free stuff while you learn about it. Definitely recommend checking it out.
We’re also on DropSuite and it works really well for us. It's great for restore capabilities, especially restoring to PST files locally and attaching those to Outlook. Overall, it's been a solid choice for keeping our data safe.
We use Commvault for Dynamics CRM on a specific client, and while it's not exclusively for M365, it could be worth considering if you ever need that feature. It’s pretty robust.
Who's your main backup vendor, or are you fully committed to M365? Just a tip: Be careful about relying on promises of features that aren't available yet. They often get delayed and what seems like a quick fix can drag on.
We use Veeam and have had a great experience with it. They even offer a ‘hosted’ solution for M365 now, which utilizes Veeam Data Cloud on Azure for storage. It’s marketed as unlimited storage, so you only pay per user, which is a nice bonus!
Yeah, I'm looking into that too. Unlimited storage sounds pretty appealing!
Haha, I've seen that happen too! My last job made some rough choices treating future promises as fact.
