Hey everyone! I just built my first PC and I'm a bit lost when it comes to the details. I'm currently testing two CPUs: the Ryzen 5 7600x and the Ryzen 7 9700x, but I haven't really noticed any significant performance differences between them. I want to make sure I didn't overlook anything or if there's a compatibility issue. The CPU temperature seems to be better with the 9700x, but I'm not sure if that's the main difference I can expect. Just to give you an idea of my setup:
- Motherboard: Asus Prime B650M-A AX II
- RAM: G.Skill 32GB DDR5
- GPU: RTX 5070 FE
- PSU: PowerSpec 850W
Am I missing something, or should I be seeing more of a distinction in performance?

It sounds like your gaming performance is likely limited by your GPU. That's why you're not seeing a big difference between the Ryzen CPUs. Even if you weren't GPU-limited, the difference in gaming performance is only around 2%, so it makes sense that they're performing similarly for you. You might notice more of a performance boost in productivity tasks, though!
Thanks for that! I didn't think my GPU was the bottleneck since my frames are solid. I'm looking to see if the 9700x is worth it just for productivity gains—do you think it’s a good investment?
