Need Help Choosing Components for a Long-Lasting Gaming PC

I'm looking to build a new gaming PC that I won't need to upgrade for at least the next 5 years. My current setup has a 2070 Super, which just isn't cutting it anymore—I've been missing out on so many new game releases because I can't run them well. Here's a link to my proposed build: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nmGqXR). I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions on what to change to make sure I get the best performance for my investment!

Hey, is this build mainly for gaming or will you be doing some productivity work too? Because if it's mostly for games, the 7900X and 64GB of RAM might be overkill. You could save some cash and still get excellent performance with something like a different CPU and 32GB of RAM, which is more than enough for gaming. By the way, I used to pay a premium for aesthetic components, but now I focus more on performance. For a clean build, I recommend the Fractal North—it looks sharp and performs great! Also, if you’re leaning toward productivity, consider switching to a 5070 Ti and a 9900X3D or 9950X3D. Good luck with your build!

Thanks for the tips! I really wanted a beautiful build, but I see your point. Just to clarify, I only use my PC for gaming.

What else do you have in your current setup?

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32GB RAM. This was my first build 5 years ago, and I also have an Aorus B450 Elite motherboard.

You might be spending around $700 extra just on brand names, RGB, liquid cooling, and more RAM than necessary for gaming. If I were in your shoes, I'd go with a setup using the 9800X3D, a dual tower fan cooler, and cheaper options for the motherboard, SSD, case, and fans. If you really want RGB and an AIO cooler, I've got a recommendation for that too. Just keep in mind that for most gaming tasks, 32GB with the 9800X3D should do the trick really well!
