Need Help Choosing the Right CPU for My New Build

Hey everyone! I need some assistance picking a CPU to go with my recently bought RTX 5070. I'm considering the MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI Micro ATX AM5 motherboard (still to be purchased based on availability, price, and features), and I already secured 32 GB of TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert DDR5-6000 CL30 memory and a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU cooler. I also have a solid 750W PSU.

I'm mainly torn between the 9600X, the 7700, and the 7800X3D. Here are the prices I'm looking at: 9600X for 220 EUR, 7700 for 195 EUR, and the pricey 7800X3D at 364 EUR. Just for context, the 7700X is around 272 EUR, and the 9700X is at 326 EUR, while the 7600X costs 200 EUR.

These are all Eastern European prices since I don't have a Microcenter nearby. I'm building this PC primarily for 1440p gaming, especially for demanding MMORPGs like Throne and Liberty, Chrono Odyssey when it releases, and New World. I really want solid performance for large-scale combat in these titles.

Thanks a bunch for any insights! :sun:

I'd recommend getting the 7700 instead. It offers great performance for a more reasonable price, especially if the price difference between the 7700 and the 7800X3D feels too steep. The 7700 should handle 1440p gaming just fine!

You might want to look into prices for the 7800X3D on AliExpress. You can find them at a phenomenal discount! Just check the vendor's reputation to make sure you're getting a legitimate product. If you can swing it, definitely go for the X3D—it’s a powerhouse!

Just a heads up, AliExpress is best for consumer purchases, while Alibaba caters to bulk buyers. Keep that in mind while shopping!

If the budget allows for it, you should definitely go for the 7800X3D. It's an amazing CPU that will really enhance your gaming experience, especially for those CPU-intensive MMORPGs. It's worth the extra investment!
